Welcome to Camp Shazaam!

We do lots of fun things like arts and crafts, spend time outside, free play, and work together to create a group play. Each day we have community time and talk about things like healthy boundaries, friendships, the importance of making mistakes, and empathy. Activities are camper-led within a structure that fosters an authentic environment that celebrates diversity and promotes the idea that we are stronger together. We focus on creating a community from day one, where each camper is seen, heard and valued. Our goal is to provide brave spaces where campers can be themselves, take creative risks, make friends, and build confidence by seeing their ideas come to life. Each week we will have an end of week performance party that celebrates what each group has created together. Please earmark the Friday of camp from 4pm-5pm. You will not want to miss it.

9am-5pm @ Taborspace

5441 SE Belmont Street, Portland, OR 97215

The camp will be run by Tara Sawyer, Camp Director plus assistants. Class is limited to a cohort of 15. We keep it small on purpose to build community and to make sure everyone is seen, heard and valued.
